Certenotti club and resort situated in Via Mino, on the outskirts of Bologna, is one of the largest naturist and swinger resorts in Europe. In summer, in addition to the spa, private club, and restaurant, it also offers a large park equipped for nudism and exhibitionism, with outdoor pools, a pond, lounge chairs, and a gazebo. Most importantly, it offers bungalows with or without private bathrooms for short stays.

I spent two weekends there, and the last one even slept in the resort. I must say I loved it!

The atmosphere is family-friendly, despite the sheer size of the effort required to run it. Management is pleasant and efficient, and guests aren't subjected to the stifling scrutiny of the Maison de l'Amour in Milan or many other establishments. The experience offers a sense of freedom and serenity, with the right services and practically 24/7 opening hours. Obviously, these characteristics favor the presence of permanent customers, so it is inevitable that sometimes "bowls club" situations arise, which I personally do not like because, while facilitating socialization, they kill desire.

Sensuality resurfaces in the playrooms, which are truly intriguing and well-organized in terms of brightness and variety. It is most evident in the couples' room, which, in addition to offering the necessary separation for those who want to have fun among their peers and without any hassles, also doesn't marginalize individuals and encourages exhibitionism, as it is fully open to view and, if desired, to contact through the external grates. The playrooms also have a darker area adjacent to the indoor spa, appealing to transexual and travestite lovers who are less inclined to publicly reveal their tastes.

The indoor spa is fully equipped, with a sauna, Turkish bath, and heated pool, with a small section that also extends outdoors, and is a true delight. At night, from this corner, you can see the brazier burning, creating a suggestive effect amidst the nature of the immense outdoor park.

The park is the resort's highlight. In addition to its size, which makes it unique in Italy, it feels like a tourist village where nudism and open-air sex reign supreme, creating a one-of-a-kind erotic setting.

Also in the park are the bungalows, which in my opinion are unmissable. These prefabricated houses are comfortable and offer everything you need for a worry-free stay at the club. They also allow you to enjoy the quiet moments between closing and reopening by using all the club's amenities, as well as the highly intriguing "nightlife" with its light shows.

Let's talk about attendance. Spring and summer weekends are very crowded; I've only been there once in the summer, and it was absolutely packed. However, the need to ensure adequate attendance for such a large venue has led the management to organize many evenings where couples manage to avoid paying by simply completing a few simple formalities, which has an impact on the presence of singles who are willing to support the crowds. Not that single men pose any particular problems, as you can always escape to the couples' room, but you have to coexist everywhere, including places more suited to couples like restaurants, cabins, and other convivial environments. Unfortunately, even the youngest singles don't lock themselves away in playrooms (as they do in other venues) and are therefore always wandering around in their trademark perpetual motion, swarming nonstop. As for couples, their ages range from 60 to 120 (the sum of the two), but the type of venue also attracts vacationers, so action isn't always guaranteed.

In short, Certenotti in the summer is truly an experience not to be missed, as it's the only one of its kind in Italy. I enjoyed it quite a bit even in bad weather, but in this case, it falls into the category of a more "interesting" venue due to the excessive family element, which I don't entirely appreciate in a place where you go to have sex with strangers.

Regarding costs, a weekend for two in low season (April-May, arriving Saturday morning before lunch, leaving Sunday evening after dinner) with all meals and some drinks will set you back around 250 euros. If you manage to avoid paying an entrance fee, it will come down to around 200.
